Scholarship aWARD

On June 16th, 2014 WarmforWinter founder with Mosa Baczewski presented a $500 scholarship and certificate to scholar recipient Ms. Guroglu. A Kamiak HS 2014 graduate had composed a compelling and inspirational essay then sent to our Baczewski scholarship committee. This scholarship fund will go towards Ms. Guroglu's Fall 2014 tuition. Ms. Guroglu was chosen with her involvements in school, athletics and charity. Memorial scholarship in MaryBaczewski's name.

November 15  Interfaith Community Sanctuary Ballard Annual Blessing of Handmade Hats and Scarves Sunday10AM (potluck follows)

November 16 Bremerton United Methodist Bremerton Annual WarmfortheWinter Service/ Chili Feed w/local homeless Monday Noon

Schools, community centers, organizations all gifting handmade hats and scarves while bringing awareness to the issues of local unhoused, and warmth to our local homeless neighbors.

This past October 2016, WarmforWinter partner Pacific Fabrics collected almost 2,000 handmade hats and scarves marking their 10th Year! Thank you All!! This year WfW will be advising handmade gift makers where they are able to deliver their beautiful creations themselves as well. You are welcome to send out below materials for sharing WfW opportunities with your friends.  Thank you for all of your gorgeous handmade items gifted to our local homeless neighbors.

WarmforWinter is a beautiful local homeless awareness, networking and direct gifting project.
45,500 handmade hats & scarves gifted to date!

Between 2006-2016 yearly in October, Our wonderful partner  Pacific Fabric stores have collected for the WfW project and WfW then delivered the gifts in

four counties the weeks before Thanksgiving.

WfW also participated in the lovely Blessings of the handmade Hats and Scarves Services. 57 Interfaith and or Ecumenical services have been held over the last ten years just before Thanksgiving.
